About the Organization :
LFS Financial Systems is a leading consulting company focussing on the microfinance sector in developing and transitional countries. Over the past 5 years, through the implementation of our state-of-the-art credit technologies, we have built a network of microfinance banks that reaches far beyond 100,000 clients across the globe and is growing at 2-3-digit rates annually.

About the Job :
As part of one of the international project teams, the candidate will undertake long-term advisory or management assignments in commercial small business finance projects. As part of a management team the candidate will be responsible for developing a greenfield bank into a leading financial institution by establishing a full financial service to local micro and small businesses. This includes responsibility for setting up the general operations and managing the bank’s growth and profitability over the years ahead, in addition to developing and maintaining relations with shareholders, creditors and local authorities. The team reports to LFS and the bank’s supervisory board and applies the LFS approach to micro and small business finance.

• Masters degree in economics, business or a finance-related subject;
• A minimum of 5 years microfinance experience in a bank or credit institution, with exposure to SME, corporate or retail banking. Experience in similar assignments would be an asset;
• Experience in commercial microfinance approaches and best-practice microlending technologies;
• Excellent command of English, and one of the following languages: Russian, French, Spanish or Portuguese;
• Excellent written and oral communications skills;
• Work experience in developing or transition countries, preferably in a start up situation.
